Learn some of the basics of lino printing in a relaxed and absolutely stunning seaside environment
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and experienced artists alike! Learn a new skill, have some fun, and leave with a stack of unique, handmade cards
We'll have a selection of pre-carved festive themed blocks, and you can mix and match them to print your own cards. You will be guided the whole way through the process and the host will be there to help you with any questions you may have. You'll likely be able to complete around 5-10 cards
Instead of the hot drinks station like at Maya's, you'll instead be in for a real treat with either a hot chocolate or a glass of mulled wine included in your ticket! And you'll even be able to order food to snack on while you work ♥
Class to begin at 1pm and will run for approximately 1.5 hours
Your cards may take overnight or up to a few days to dry, (it varies depending on weather, humidity, paper type, etc) the Tolcarne Beach Bar will keep them safe for you until they are ready to collect. If you aren't local to Newquay we can arrange them to be sent to you in the post for £5 (UK only)

Lino is a method of reduction printing where you carve your design out of a block, roll ink onto the block, and then press onto your printing surface!
It yields really unique results for each print, because the ink picks up differently each time ♥

Absolutely everything you need will be provided for you (this is the case for all hosted workshops at Maya's)
Just make sure to dress for the occasion! Aprons are provided, but it can still get messy

Lino can certainly be intimidating, but don't worry! All classes at Maya's are completely suitable for beginners unless otherwise specified
Your teacher will be there to guide you step by step and answer any questions you may have
