Upcycled Vintage Midi/Maxi Skirt

Most upcycled pieces at Maya's will have some sort of visible imperfection, or have had some mending done. All of the garments are structurally sound, and we try to make any imperfections clear in the listing. We often think that these "flaws" add to the charm of the piece! Our goal is to take pieces that may have otherwise wound up in landfill, and give them a new life ♥

Lino is a method of reduction printing where you carve your design out of a block, roll ink onto the block, and then press onto your printing surface!

It yields really unique results for each print, because the ink picks up differently each time ♥

Screen printing is a completely different method of printing. It makes for much more uniform results, and it tends to be a bit easier when printing a lot of things at one time

The lino printing process is a bit more labour intensive, which is why it isn't a particularly common method for printing on garments

All lino printed apparel at Maya is printed with a sepcial ink designed for fabric printing, and is washable as normal

in order to keep your item in good shape as long as possible, we do highly recommend you wash in cold water, with like colours, and only hang to dry
